What happens in a sharing circle?

A sharing circle is one of the simplest, yet most powerful, ways for us to come together. It’s not a workshop, class, or therapy session — but a human space to sit, listen, and be heard.

The Circle

We sit together in a circle – no hierarchy. In this shape, all voices hold equal space, and each person’s unique presence matters.

The Guidelines

To support everyone’s safety and comfort, we agree to:

  • Keep what is shared confidential.
  • Listen without judgment, advice or fixing.
  • Share as much or as little as you wish; silence is always welcome.

Flow

The circle structure is gentle but grounded. A simple time-keeper ensures each person who wants to share has a turn. When your moment comes, speak from the heart – or simply sit in silence if that’s what you prefer.

Experience

Often, the deepest shifts happen not in speaking but in listening. As we listen to others, we often recognise echoes of our own stories, our own pain, and our own strength. In those moments, we connect with our shared humanity, healing and belonging.

Why It Matters

In a world that encourages doing, achieving, and always moving, circle offers a place to just be. To slow down, breathe, and reconnect — with yourself, and with others.
